Leading, privately-owned consumer Product Company, based in Jersey City, New Jersey, seeks motivated, detail-oriented self-starter for full-time public relations coordinator position. Ideal candidate is a responsible, energetic multi-tasker with 1-3 years of professional PR experience who has an interest in consumer health -and-amp; nutrition communications, thinks creatively and is able to anticipate account needs. Candidate must take responsibility for a diverse set of projects, multitask, have solid writing skills and be a great communicator. This is a hands-on position, primarily administrative, but with the opportunity to learn a great deal about public relations.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Act as primary contact and liaison to external PR agencies

Coordinate PR with internal social media team

Support trade, consumer media relations efforts including media list development, media monitoring, pitching and monthly results reports

Conduct media monitoring, compile PR reports

Draft press materials including conference reports, media write-ups, and basic PR materials

Manage press kit assembly, interacts with vendors, manages deadlines

Supports special audience efforts including influencer programs and sampling program

Manages tradeshow support including material coordination, staffing and timelines

Able to manage deadlines and priorities

Maintains inventory and archives photos, artwork, marketing literature, and media files

Provides administrative support to agency PR team
